Pilgrim Church is a gathering of Christians of all ages and various backgrounds. We are a family with the privilege and responsibility to love and care for each other. We warmly welcome people who are not from Christian backgrounds. Visitors frequently tell us how very welcome they feel at Pilgrim Church. So come visit! Here are some of the things you will find:
Pilgrim Church provides Sunday school classes at 11 am for all ages on each Sunday of the year, except July and August. Please join us in studying the Word of God.
Our pre-school and elementary classes use the well regarded curriculum produced by Great Commission Publications (the joint publication organization of the OPC and PCA). This means your children will receive an excellent biblical education here at Pilgrim.
Our middle school classes study Great Commission Publications Bible doctrine curriculum to the learn the Westminster Shorter Catechism. This means the students receive a theological layer to their foundation of Bible knowledge.
Our high school students continue their development of biblical and theological knowledge, but with the addition of relevant application of this knowledge to current issues of contemporary society and world views.
Bible Study and Prayer
Small groups of adults meet in various homes at different times of the month to encourage one another in their faith through fellowship, study, accountability, and prayer. Each group has its own uniqueness. Check with our church office (942-8054) for updated info.
Each Wednesday Pilgrim Church meets for Study and Prayer at 6 pm. We call the meeting The Dead Theologians Society – we meet to read and discuss classic and important Christian books that help us to think about God, the Christian life, the Bible, in fact all things – wisely and well. The evening concludes with corporate prayer. Please join us for this time of sweet fellowship.
Each Sunday from 8 am to 9 am Pilgrim Church meets for prayer. Please join us.
Throughout the year Pilgrim Church hosts events to bring the entire church family together. Past events have included a breakfast, the Memorial Day picnic, Church dinners, and a Missions Conference supper. Email for more information on any of these events.
One very popular annual event in the Pilgrim Church calendar is the Annual Church camping trip at Peaks Kenny campground near Dover-Foxcroft, Maine on the last week of July. The weekend includes outdoor activities around the park including swimming and biking, an evening sing-along and a Sunday morning service.
Pilgrim Church has a very active youth ministry led by Youth Director Nathan Lambert. We seek to treasure the triune and living God as He graciously enables us to glorify and enjoy him!
Regular youth group (Jr. & Sr. High combined) meets on most Saturday evenings at the church building from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. We pray, we sing, we laugh, we hang out, we play games, but most of all, we study God’s Word in order that our treasuring all that he is for us in the Lord Jesus is guided and guarded by the truth.
To go even deeper with God, there are also two Living for Christ (2 Cor. 5:14-15) discipleship groups available. One for young men and one for young women. This time includes Bible study, prayer, accountability and memory work.
In addition, we also have times of fellowship and service activities each month.
To see what is going on this week, please call the church (207) 942-8054 and after the greeting, choose option # 3.
Each Summer the youth group together with the youth director and adult chaperones, serves together as a family in Christ on a weeklong missions trip. Trips in the past have included renovation work in Neon, KY and evangelistic work at the Boardwalk Chapel in Wildwood, NJ.
